Abstract
The article summarizes the life and scientific work of the first head of the Department of tuberculosis (then Phthisiopneumology) Belarusian Institute of Postgraduate Medical (BelMAPO) Associate Professor Samuel Alexandrovich Agranovich and Professor Evgeny Borisovich Meve made a great contribution to the preparation of a whole generation of TB specialists in the development of TB science in Belarus.
