| dc.description.abstract | The article provides a review of the literature highlighting the role of hyperuricemia as a risk factor for the development of cardiovascular diseases and one of the factors in the progression of existing cardiovascular disease. Epidemiological information on the relationship between hyperuricemia and heart damage is provided. The mechanisms of the damaging effect of uric acid on the cardiovascular system, obtained in experiments and clinical conditions, are considered. | |
