Abstract

The most common oral disease among children — gingivitis and dental caries, the latter affects 60-90% children throughout the world. In the survey participated 227 children (122 boys and 105 girls) 10-11 years (135 fifth-grade children in the gymnasium № 6 and 92 fifth-grade children in the gymnasium № 5, Minsk). According to the survey, the prevalence of caries disease ranged from 79.25% in gymnasium № 6 to 88.04% in gymnasium № 5 and conformed high morbidity according to the WHO. Study of indicators of oral hygiene status index OHI-S in children showed the presence of hard and soft dental plaque on the teeth, which indicates a lack of purification. In assessing the state of marginal periodontal tissue availability bleeding gums was found in 28.6% of the children.
